Today, I am so happy that I have two world premieres in France and in NY! 

今日は嬉しいことに、偶然にも新曲の世界初演がふたつあります！しかも、フランスとニューヨークです！

One is "Three Voices" for string trio, performed by an amazing trio in Ensembles Talea, as the final public presentation of ACADEMIE VOIX NOUVELLES at Abbaye de Royaumont. It was so hard to compose this piece, but it took me a new place and I've got to find a lot of things in my mind!

Another one is the 2-minute short piece "Dharani of Wind" for bass flute and shamisen, commissioned by one of my best friends and a shamisen player Hidejiro Honjoh for his final presentation of his residence in NY! It will be premiered by him and also an incredible flutist Claire Chase!

ひとつは、約3週間のフランス、ロワイヨモン修道院での現代音楽アカデミーの集大成で、《三つの聲》という弦楽トリオの作品。これは、とても苦労して書きましたが、大事な大事な作品になりました。アンサンブルタレアの素晴らしいトリオが演奏してくださいます。もうひとつは三味線奏者の本條秀慈郎くんの委嘱で、彼の今回のNY滞在の集大成のリサイタルのために書いた、バスフルートと三味線のための《風の陀羅尼》。こちらも素晴らしいフルーティストのクレア・チェイスさんと演奏してくれます。約2分の短い作品で、タイトル通り風のごとく駆け抜けます！フランスから、ニューヨークのリサイタルの成功もお祈りしています。
